LEGAL & REGULATORY

Legal and regulatory information

The UK management consulting firm “Venus Energy Global” is a private limited company constituted under the laws of England & Wales. Venus Energy is a UK consulting practice carried on by Venus Energy Global Ltd and its affiliated practices. Accordingly, references in the Legal Responsibility statement and elsewhere in this website to Venus Energy or VEG mean Venus Energy Global Ltd and the other partnerships and other entities or practices authorised to use the name “Venus Energy Global” or one or more of those practices as the context requires

The term “partner” refers to a member of Venus Energy Global Ltd or an employee or consultant with equivalent standing and qualifications. A list of members and/orother partners together with their professional qualifications is available for inspection at the office of Venus Energy Global Ltd.

In addition to our management consultancy services, we are able to provide legalservices through Guneyli Law & Consultancy in Turkey and other engineering & commercial consultancy services through Venus Energy Global Ltd.

Anti-Corruption Statement

Our policy is to conduct our business honestly, ethically and comply with all applicable anti-corruption legislation, including the UK Bribery Act 2010. We have a zero-tolerance approach to bribery and corruption and are committed to acting professionally and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships wherever we operate. We have established internal, risk-based procedures to ensure awareness of and compliance with applicable anti-bribery laws, including in relation to the appointment of third parties to provide services on behalf of our clients.

Anti-Money Laundering Obligations

As a result of the obligations of Anti-Money Laundering regulations, we are required to obtain evidence to verify your identity before accepting new instructions from you. The required evidence may include a copy of passports or other identification documents by directors or equivalent people within the client organisations and evidence of the ownership structure of client organisations, and we may use external organisations to assist in gathering the necessary information. If we do not receive satisfactory evidence of your identity, we will not be able to act or continue to act on your behalf.

We may also have an obligation to report any knowledge or suspicion of criminal activity, or involvement in money laundering or criminal property by a client or third party arising during our professional work, to the relevant national authorities. Failure to do so is an offence.

Invariably, we are obliged to make such reports without reference to you, or without your consent as it is also an offence to prejudice any investigation by the authorities by “tipping-off” any party or any other third party suspected of money laundering. In certain cases, we may also be obliged to cease acting for you temporarily or permanently if these circumstances arise, without being able to explain why.

Complaints Procedure

For each of our clients, our partner(s) has overall responsibility for ensuring we deliver a high standard of service, and with whom any problems should be raised. If you have concerns at any stage about any aspect of our conduct in any matter, including the level of our fees, you should contact with our Managing Partner, YamacGuneyli. We will always try to resolve any problem quickly and we operate an internal complaint handling system to help us to resolve the problem between ourselves.
